Titles - Different in every organization
Every organization has its own show system, and therefore also the
titles are very different.
 | There is no contract between the organizations that titles are
recognized amongst the various organizations. That means, if a cat
wants to receive the title Int.Ch. in FIFe for example, the Champion
title of WCF is not recognized by FIFe, it must first receive the
champion title and then the title Int.Ch. |
 | WCF is here somewhat more open, as titles from several
organizations are recognized. |
 | Also in American organizations the titles must be received after
their show system. A Ch.-title from FIFe or from WCF is not
recognized by American organizations, the cat must start in the open
class to get the champion title. |
Also the colour classes, which are recognized and where a cat may
win a title, are different.
 | In FIFe for example Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest cats and
Siberian are judged in colour groups, in WCF each colour and pattern
has its own class. |
 | In FIFe pointed Siberian are not recognized, and cannot win any
title. |
 | Siamese with red/cream or tortie are Colorpoint Shorthair in
CFA, whilst they are Siamese in other organizations. |
The breeds recognized by the organizations are different,
regardless that also the standard may be different.
 | For eple, German Rex are not recognized by CFA or TICA. |
 | Don Sphynx and Peterbald are not recognized by CFA or GCCF. |
 | Those breeds cannot receive any titles. |
If titles of another organization are recorded in the pedigree,
differs also between the various organizations

Breeding/pedigree.html
The WCC (World Cat Congress) exists since 1994, where many
organizations have joined. But up to now not any major decision or
agreements has been made. Up to now there is no agreement to recognize
the titles from each other.

Issue: 01-2007
In all organizations neuters are separated from unneutered cats and
receive the Premior title instead of the Champion title.

And where are the household pets?
Household pets are handled very differently in the organizations.
 | In many organizations mostly the best household pet of a show
exists. |
 | In CFA a household pet receives a Merit Award and can
participate in a final for household pets, pets must be neutered. |
 | In FIFe household pets are ranked: I, II, III, etc.,
and only the best pet may participate in a Best in Show for
household pets and may win the best household pet of a show.
Despite the fact that household pets have their own standard, they
may not win any title. |
 | In WCF there is a standard only for shorthaired household pets,
i.e. only shorthaired pets may compete as household pets. |
 | Also in LOOF the household pets are ranked, pets must be
neutered. There are longhaired and shorthaired household pets, but
they do not have a standard. |
 | There are some organizations, where a household pet may win also
titles, the same as in pedigreed cats, for example in ACFA and TICA. |
